The DO Show is hosted by Josh, Robert, Lochy and Simon, with assistance from their coordinator Jason, and Sunbury Radio volunteer Steve ‘pushing the buttons’.
The show began in 2018 and is based on an idea by Sharon of adult disability service Distinctive Options, who thought giving those with a disability an opportunity to host a radio show would help build their self-confidence and meet new people.
Prior to the show going live the Do Crew get busy deciding which songs to play, what each member of the crew will talk about, and prepare a list of community events to promote – with a keen eye on the coming weekend – and of course there’s weekend weather and sport too.
The DO Show starts at 11am every Friday, runs for an hour, and everyone taking part loves being on air.
