Sunbury Radio celebrates the sights, sounds and spirit of the Sunbury Show

Sunbury Radio listeners heard all the sounds, colour and movement of the Sunbury Agricultural Show on Saturday 11 October, with the station broadcasting live from the show at Clarke Oval.
Chris Ball’s Reelin’ in the Years program included regular crosses to the Sunbury Radio outside broadcast crew, who interviewed many exhibitors and community groups in attendance.
Over the course of the day, listeners were treated to a chat with newly-crowned Sunbury Show Rural Ambassador Kate McIntosh, Sunbury Show secretary Narelle Reino as well as representatives from a host of different local community organisations.
The team also got up close with some local Australian wildlife, courtesy of Macedon’s Wild Action Zoo.
Sunbury Radio presenter Dean Walker was one of the station volunteers who lent a hand on the day: “Sunbury Radio is all about supporting our community and it is an absolute pleasure to be involved with broadcasting a fantastic local community event like the Sunbury Show.
“In past years my role has been to anchor the coverage back up at the studio, so this year it was a thrill to actually be at the Clarke Oval in person to enjoy all that the Sunbury Show had to offer.”
Sunbury Radio congratulates the Sunbury Agricultural Society for another successful event and extends our sincere thanks to all the exhibitors and community groups that spoke to us over the course of the day.
